Our client, a leader in their field, is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment to meet business targets
  • Be competent in all Maintenance Engineering principles
  • Demonstrate company values through behaviour
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and rectifying faults
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Perform fault finding on equipment and source parts
  • Analyze breakdown causes and implement corrective actions
  • Undertake minor electronic repairs
  • Understand production needs and make adjustments to ensure quality and process control
  • Set up machines and train others
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Teams
  • Obtain quotations and raise Purchase Requisitions for machine parts
  • Maintain up-to-date preventative maintenance logs and repair records
  • Conduct risk assessments on plant and equipment
  • Ensure safe working practices are always followed

Ideal Candidate:

  • BTEC NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills across all business areas
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time management
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • HNC in relevant Engineering/Maintenance discipline
  • SAP experience (desirable)
  • 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience
  • Proven fault diagnosis experience
  • Knowledge of Total Planned Maintenance (TPM)
  • Knowledge of pneumatics

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Initially days, with potential shift pattern changes
  • Day shifts: Monday – Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00
  • Early shift: Monday – Thursday 06:30-14:30, Friday 06:30-14:00
  • Late shift: Monday – Thursday 14:30-23:00, Friday 14:00-19:30
  • Shift premiums: 17.57% for early shift, 22.97% for late shift
