Our client, a leader in their field, is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment to meet business targets
- Be competent in all Maintenance Engineering principles
- Demonstrate company values through behaviour
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and rectifying faults
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities
- Perform fault finding on equipment and source parts
- Analyze breakdown causes and implement corrective actions
- Undertake minor electronic repairs
- Understand production needs and make adjustments to ensure quality and process control
- Set up machines and train others
- Participate in Quality Improvement Teams
- Obtain quotations and raise Purchase Requisitions for machine parts
- Maintain up-to-date preventative maintenance logs and repair records
- Conduct risk assessments on plant and equipment
- Ensure safe working practices are always followed
Ideal Candidate:
- BTEC NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Effective communication skills across all business areas
- Attention to detail
- Good time management
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- HNC in relevant Engineering/Maintenance discipline
- SAP experience (desirable)
- 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience
- Proven fault diagnosis experience
- Knowledge of Total Planned Maintenance (TPM)
- Knowledge of pneumatics
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Initially days, with potential shift pattern changes
- Day shifts: Monday β Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00
- Early shift: Monday β Thursday 06:30-14:30, Friday 06:30-14:00
- Late shift: Monday β Thursday 14:30-23:00, Friday 14:00-19:30
- Shift premiums: 17.57% for early shift, 22.97% for late shift
