We are looking for a full-time pharmacy assistant in London who is driven and excited to join our sociable and active team. The chosen applicant will contribute significantly to the pharmacy's smooth functioning by offering top-notch customer service, helping the pharmacist dispense prescription drugs, and providing healthcare services to the community.
Principal Duties:
- Help with labelling and assembling prescription drugs while working directly under the supervision of a trained chemist.
- Accurately and quickly receive and process prescriptions.
- Keep up-to-date patient records and maintain privacy.
- Order, receive, store, and rotate pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies as part of managing and organising pharmacy inventory.
- Deliver first-rate customer service by responding to questions both in-person and over the phone and, if required, referring clients to the right healthcare provider.
- Accurately manage financial transactions and run the till.
- Keep the pharmacy environment neat, orderly, and clean while following safety and hygienic guidelines.
- Help sell over-the-counter (OTC) medications by giving them information and guidance within your area of expertise and directing them to the chemist when needed.
- Handle OTC and prescription medication payments.
- Help with administrative duties like data entry, photocopying, and filing.
- To preserve and improve your knowledge and abilities, take part in training and development programs.
- Respect all applicable legal requirements, ethical standards, and pharmacy processes.
