Do you have experience within a production or manufacturing environment? Do you consider yourself to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Blunham? This role is ideal for someone with machine operating experience and a safety-first approach, although training will be provided.
Location: DS Smith Packaging, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH
Rate: £15.46 per hour (paid breaks), Overtime available for 42+ hours: OT 1.5 Monday to Saturday, Double time on Sundays
Contract Length: Temp to Perm (3 months initially)
Shift: Pitman Shift pattern, 6:00 AM/PM to 6:00 PM/AM (12-hour shifts including Days and Nights)
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure productivity and performance targets are met
- Maintain consistent quality standards
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per schedule
- Adhere to UK Health and Safety legislation at all times
- Support improvement initiatives as needed
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
- Safety-focused with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Team player, quality-conscious, and adaptable to multi-skilled working
