We are now recruiting for Pool Automation Maintenance Technicians at our Chelmsford Mail Centre, Winsford Way, CHELMSFORD. CM2 5AA site.
Salary: £51,051 per annum, plus night shift allowance. 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays, a defined contribution pension scheme, and a weekend shift supplement (£51 for Saturday, £102 for Sunday). You may be eligible for a welcome bonus of £1,500 (payments are made in installments and are subject to terms and conditions).
The successful candidate will cover the Chelmsford Mail Centre shift rotation, with some voluntary flexibility to meet our 24/7 operational needs, including overtime and shift pattern flexibility. This is a Pool position requiring adaptability to step in for other Technicians during their leave or sick leave. When not covering, you will follow the shift rota below:
- Week 1 - Nights: 22:30 - 06:40 Monday to Friday / Saturday 19:00 - 06:15
- Week 2 - Lates: 14:30 - 22:40 Monday to Friday
- Week 3 - Earlies: 06:30 - 14:40 Monday to Friday / Saturday 06:30 - 19:10 / Sunday 08:00 - 20:15
- Week 4 - Off (Monday to Saturday) / Sunday 20:00 - 06:15

The Role
Full-time, 40 hours/week. Responsible for maintaining automation assets through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, supporting continuous improvement, and collaborating with operational stakeholders to optimize equipment performance.
About you
Qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, experience maintaining automation equipment, and a flexible, communicative approach. A full UK driving licence is required for occasional site travel.
