The Opportunity: Cpl is delighted to be partnering with a leading Interior fit out company in London to appoint an experienced HR professional to join their successful team as HR Manager in a Part time / Remote role. This is an exciting and varied position providing the opportunity to work for an award winning business supporting and developing the team as the business expands its portfolio of work and clients across London, Northern Ireland and the Northwest England regions. This role will be 20 hours per week and will be remote, with travel to London expected as required.
Your new role: The HR Manager role will be a central liaison point between the two parent companies and will focus on establishing and developing processes and practices to support colleagues and nurture the culture of the business.
Main responsibilities:
- People Management: Line management and professional development of the People Coordinator.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Provide support as required.
- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Oversee the processes, including induction and probation.
- Employee Relations: Provide support, advice and guidance on employee relations issues.
- HR Reporting: Monthly and ad-hoc updates for SLT.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and provide advice and guidance on application and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal system process and provide guidance on employee development.
- Attendance Management: Oversee and manage attendance processes including annual leave requests and uptake, and sickness absence reporting.
- Learning and Development: Strategically review the learning and development needs of the business at a corporate level and proactively manage mandatory training requirements and records. Source appropriate training.
- HR Consulting: Offer strategic HR advice and support to enhance organisational effectiveness.
- Employee Engagement: Collaborate with SLT and colleagues to develop a plan of activities across the year.
What you’ll need to succeed?
Essential:
- Human Resources / CIPD qualification (Level 5 minimum).
- 3+ years' experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Experience of managing and developing other team members.
- Organised and efficient with an ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and work collaboratively as a team.
