Provide Electrical and Mechanical support for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, or modifying machinery or facility related equipment. Primary focus is to provide electrical and controls support for installation, troubleshooting, scheduling and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure safety, quality and production standards are met.

What You Do. Monitor and advise on proper electrical installation and troubleshooting techniques, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines (NFPA 70E, NEC, etc.). Participate in and write Lockout Tag out procedures for new and upgraded equipment/facility installations, utilizing audits and PMs to stay current. Perform PLC install, replacement, diagnostics, and program changes. Conduct PC-based control installs, replacement, diagnostics, and program interpretation. Troubleshoot and replace electrical field devices/components. Assess electrical training needs within the maintenance group for safety and developmental purposes. Maintain and promote a safe working environment, taking appropriate safety precautions and measures.
Your Education and Experience. 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance. An associate's degree, Industrial electrician license, or a journey worker credential in a related accredited technical discipline.
Your Qualifications. Requires a high level of proficiency and mental as well as physical alertness. Ability to work independently with resourcefulness, originality, and initiative. Understanding of functional criteria for control systems, power systems, and electronic device selection. Soft skills, interacting, positive reinforcement, teamwork, we not me attitude, highly cooperative, attentive, leading by example, etc. Skills and competencies further defined in attached functional expectations for this position. To maintain and stay current as well as comply with State of Wisconsin license criteria for Industrial Electrician, Journeymen Maintenance Technicians must attend specified hours in relevant and accepted CEUs for electrical codes and safety.
