We have an exciting opportunity for a creative, passionate, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Resident Wellbeing OT Consultant. You will be responsible for leading a team to plan, design, organise, and deliver engaging, person-centred activities and lifestyle opportunities that enable our residents' wishes to come true. You will create a stimulating environment that promotes lifestyle choices, happiness, development, and fun, while leading our team in accordance with our TLC values.

We are seeking an outgoing individual who strives to make a daily difference in the lives of our residents and supports a one-team approach, working collaboratively with team members, residents, and relatives.

The Resident Wellbeing OT Consultant will be required to:

  • Establish a process for assessing leisure, social, and emotional needs.
  • Create internal and external frameworks for providing leisure, social, and emotional support.
  • Develop processes to make leisure, social, and emotional activities accessible to the elderly, regardless of physical or cognitive frailty.
  • Design programs aimed at preventing isolation and ill-being among the elderly, regardless of frailty level.
  • Lead, teach, and coach teams of Activities and Wellbeing leads and facilitators to develop care planning competencies that address individual and group leisure, social, and emotional needs, goals, and aspirations.
  • Support the development of co-production skills in personalising and empowering elderly residents to organise their environment, access technologies, and establish routines supporting their leisure, social, and emotional needs.
  • Develop induction and training modules for Activities and Wellbeing leads and facilitators to support these initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapy and/or Learning Disability professional qualification.
  • Ability to travel within Surrey and Cambridgeshire.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and IT skills for communication, presentation, mentoring, and coaching, with the ability to make information accessible.
  • A positive, resourceful, people-centric individual capable of sharing, communicating, and driving vision and project goals.
