The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

Location: UK-based, able to visit UK Motorsport teams at Motorsport Valley, Midlands, Oxford etc as required.

Engagement: Can be Full-Time, Part-time or Consultancy.

Remuneration: Salary or Consultancy rate negotiable, dependent on experience.

Our client is a global leader in simulation technology to the motorsport sector with a heritage of providing competitive advantage to race teams in series including Formula 1, FE, WEC, WRC, NASCAR, IndyCar and off-road.

An exciting new role has arisen for a highly credible and well-connected Motorsport Business Development Manager to drive strategic client acquisition and long-term relationships in the sector.

We are seeking a business development professional with deep motorsport experience who can identify and convert new business opportunities within motorsport teams and organisations, using specialist knowledge of the sector’s terminology, cadence, and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage motorsport stakeholders – including drivers, engineers, and team principals – using appropriate language and industry insight.
  • Drive awareness and pipeline creation, with a focus on nurturing relationships prior to the point of sale.
  • Organize and facilitate demos, ensuring prospects understand value propositions early in the buying journey.
  • Translate product benefits in driver-centric terms, focusing on performance improvement, realism, and technical credibility.
  • Tap into an existing network of motorsport contacts to unlock new commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a client outreach strategy that aligns with industry cycles, regulation changes, and budget constraints (e.g., CAS limits).
  • Stay informed on motorsport regulations and their impact on simulation methodology.
  • Maintain a presence in the simulation space, engaging with operator rooms and driver-in-the-loop environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in motorsport-related sales.
  • Strong background in motorsport (e.g., former team member, driver liaison, engineer with commercial focus, salesperson or engineer who has provided simulation / analytics software into motorsport).
  • Deep understanding of simulation environments and driver interaction with simulators.
  • Highly credible and respected in the motorsport ecosystem, especially with race teams and drivers.
  • Able to articulate technical benefits in terms that resonate with drivers and technical teams – not just corporate buyers.
  • Familiar with budgetary and regulatory frameworks that influence purchasing decisions in motorsport.
  • Commercially astute and open to either an employed or consultancy basis opportunity with a performance-based remuneration element.
