The People, Culture and Impact (PCI) teamβs mission is to deliver a mission-driven experience that empowers the People of Depop to do their best work. As Depop continues its path to profitability and executes on its growth strategy, the team is shaping a people strategy which will underpin this growth. The strategy (and the operations that underpin it) will ensure that Depop can grow scalably by building a culture of high performance and excellence, evolving organisational effectiveness and efficiency, and providing meaningful growth for our people. Role
In this role, you will play a critical part in attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent while acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders. You will execute sourcing strategies, enhance the candidate experience, and contribute to building a strong employer brand.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers and our Strategic People Partners to understand talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing out offers.
- Assume a proactive role as a DEI Champion, elevating diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our hiring processes.
- Implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates through networking, social media, and other channels.
- Act as a talent advisor, providing market insights and best practices to hiring teams and the wider People, Culture & Impact team.
- Collaborate closely with the People team to ensure seamless onboarding and contribute insights to the broader People agenda.
- Build strong talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
- Foster an outstanding candidate experience by ensuring a seamless and engaging recruitment process.
- Partner with our Data Analyst to harness recruitment metrics and analytics to measure strategy effectiveness, identify trends, and facilitate data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.
- Cultivate relationships with potential talent, expanding your network and showcasing the company brand through compelling communication and storytelling.
- Contribute to Talent and People team projects and initiatives, as well as participation in cross-functional squads, to support strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in hiring for Software Engineering & Data teams and partnering with stakeholders in this space.
- Proven track record of full-cycle recruiting, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth Tech business.
- Proven ability to partner with and influence leaders on hiring decisions.
- Strong experience with sourcing techniques, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and other talent tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using applicant tracking systems (preferably Workday) and recruitment analytics.
- Experience in using this data to influence hiring decisions and process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high level of service to candidates and stakeholders.
- Passion for and experience of executing diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring practices.
