Provide town planning services to public and private sector clients on major infrastructure and regeneration projects across London and other regions in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit planning and consent applications, including those related to Hybrid Bills, Transport & Works Act Orders, and Development Consent Orders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct research on relevant planning policies, legislation, and sector-specific regulations early in project development to provide strategic planning advice.
- Assist in negotiations with local authorities, statutory bodies, and third parties to secure agreements on planning matters.
- Develop and maintain consents management plans and registers.
- Advise multidisciplinary teams on the preparation of drawings and supplementary planning documents for submission.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure full compliance with planning consents and directives.
- Engage in consultations with stakeholders and third parties to facilitate planning processes.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Chartered membership with the RTPI or actively working towards it.
- Significant experience in planning, gained in consultancy and/or local government.
- Proven expertise in major infrastructure planning, including application preparation and appeals.
- Strong report-writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement within the planning process.
