Trainee / Junior Paraplanner – Chelmsford
Our client is looking for a Trainee Paraplanner to join their team. This role is suitable for an individual who is halfway to achieving Diploma qualification and is working towards becoming a fully qualified Paraplanner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide research and analysis of investment funds and financial products, considering client objectives.
- Conduct fund research using FE Analytics where appropriate.
- Review asset allocation for investment and pension holdings.
- Complete financial cashflow forecasts to demonstrate the client\’s current and future financial position.
- Prepare Financial Plans outlining the current position, future goals, and steps to achieve them.
- Prepare fund switch and encashment letters based on advice provided.
- Obtain applications, key features documents, factsheets, illustrations, and product comparison quotes from appropriate sources, ensuring clear research of advice.
- Liaise with Product Providers / Third Parties regarding technical queries.
- Work effectively within a team.
- Accurately complete new business sheets for handover to the PA.
- Successfully complete all relevant exams as per the training plan.
- Regularly update and maintain industry and product knowledge through webinars, seminars, and training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within financial services.
- Practical application of technical financial knowledge.
- Experience in data research and report writing within financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Professional approach with a strong customer focus for optimal outcomes.
- Flexible and proactive attitude.
- Working towards full Diploma qualification.
- Good understanding of the Financial Planning process.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
