Are you not afraid of a challenge? We need committed, knowledgeable social workers to help us with our core business – empowering and supporting people who need signposting, community support, or even some direct help from the Council. We operate a strength-based practice model.
During these challenging times, the Council Leadership has reaffirmed their support for our statutory functions, including Adult Social Care. We have a stable team with low vacancy rates, and we prioritize our permanent staff over agency workers. Our team includes a dedicated Training Officer and a Principal Social Worker to support staff welfare and practice.
Applicants should have qualified in the last 2 years and not completed an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment previously. We offer opportunities for career progression, professional development, and a department-wide commitment to manageable caseloads, with caseloads for NQSWs capped at 10% lower than the rest of the team. Croydon Adult Services maintains a workload structure to support sustainable work output, complemented by comprehensive learning and development programs, including a strong ASYE program.
