Job Description:

Social Media Content Specialist – 12 month FTC

Location: Wythall – 3 days office/2 days home

We’re working with a retail-based client with multiple branches across the UK. They are looking to add a Social Media Content Specialist to their digital team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Due to the office location, you’ll need your own transport and be willing to travel to branches occasionally.

The role involves developing their social media presence across Meta, YouTube, and TikTok to engage new customers and bring the brand to life through engaging content.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the social media content plan, creating a structured and proactive strategy.
• Collaborate with the social media agency on content requirements for organic and paid campaigns.
• Create engaging and authentic content that reflects the brand and its people, including product and promotional content.
• Plan and produce more video content, especially for YouTube, such as “how-to” videos and “a day in the life” series.

Experience needed:

• Previous experience in a social media content role.
• Understanding of both organic and paid social media strategies.
• Experience with YouTube as a social channel is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Photoshop; videography experience is not required but beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Experience in eCommerce or retail (bricks-and-mortar or online) is preferred.
• Interest or experience in construction, interiors, or trade retail is highly beneficial.
