Shift Patterns: Monday – Friday 8.00 – 17.00

Location: HM Prison Birmingham – B18 4AS

Note: The role is based within a prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced security vetting process.

About DHL and the Role

DHL, a leading supply chain business, operates warehouses inside prisons where inmates can order basic goods, which DHL manages in terms of picking, packing, and distribution. This role offers diverse daily tasks and the opportunity to support prisoner rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations on-site at the prison.
2. Manage and supervise Warehouse Team Leaders and oversee prisoner workers.
3. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and prison regulations.
4. Conduct staff training and inductions.
5. Achieve and surpass operational targets.

Candidate Requirements

1. Recent three-year UK address history (mandatory for security clearance).
2. Ability to work within a prison environment alongside inmates.
3. Experience in team leadership, management, or supervision.
4. Proficiency in IT for reporting purposes.
5. Positive attitude, accuracy, and enthusiasm.
6. Enhanced security clearance is mandatory.
