Description:
The role of senior planning consultant involves working on a variety of projects, supporting senior staff and Directors on major project work, providing direct client advice on sites and projects, drafting reports and planning representations, Environmental Statements, and assisting with the management of the team\’s caseload.

Key tasks include:
- Assisting senior staff and Directors to drive forward major projects
- Managing small to medium-sized planning applications
- Undertaking research and analysis
- Preparing planning appraisals of land, buildings, and concepts
- Preparing planning reports and applications
- Liaising with planning officers, consultees, and third parties
- Building good relationships with clients, colleagues, and professionals
- Developing creative and original solutions
- Managing financial aspects of small to medium projects from inception to completion
- Staying informed on planning policy and practice documents
- Attending external events and delivering presentations
Reporting lines:
- Project Director for each project
- Ability to be self-directed
- Coordination with other companies/consultants

Team: 8-10 members with diverse experience
Work arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, 37.5 hours/week
Targets: Meeting client deadlines
