Base pay range and location

Join Alcedo Care Preston as a Children\’s Support Worker working within the areas of Preston, Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Croston, Lostock Hall, Walton le Dale, Penwortham and Garstang. This role requires a full UK driving licence.

Excellent rates of pay £13.40-£13.90 plus Pension plus Holiday Pay (equating to a rolled up pay rate of £15.47-£16.05).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, emotional support, and assistance with daily routines to children and young people, while promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing.
• Work closely with families and other professionals to create a safe, nurturing environment where each child can thrive.
• Be a consistent, caring presence and build trust with the child and their support network.

Qualifications and requirements

• Preferably a minimum of 6 months care experience in a UK care setting, but full training is provided.
• Must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role.
• Due to the role’s duties, this position involves personal care, unsupervised work with vulnerable individuals, and flexible hours including late evenings and night shifts.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references are required.
