LIFE by Be Caring is looking to recruit Support Workers to join our learning disabilities team across Newcastle and Gateshead. As a Support Worker you will support people to live happy and fulfilled lives within their local communities.

Ensuring individual support needs are met through person-centred tailored support that promotes choice, independence and their voice.

Mileage: 45p per mile (drivers) for miles covered while driving between calls when required in an emergency

As a Support Worker with our LIFE Service , you will work flexibly to support all our services, including our:

• Independent Supported Living services – Newcastle & Gateshead
• Outreach services across Newcastle & Gateshead
• Shared Living Services – West Denton & Dinnington

We are recruiting:

• Fu ll-time Support Workers
• Female applicants only
• Drivers only (with access to own vehicle)
• Fully funded DBS .
• Paid induction training.
• Training development: funded Level 3 and other accredited courses.
• Holiday pay: annual leave accumulates with working hours.
• Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): free 24-hour helpline, advice and guidance for yourself and dependents.
• Union membership (optional): through our partnership with the GMB.

Training

• Paid induction training: classroom-based, includes shadowing and additional online modules.
• Additional Specialist Training:provided to all new recruits – equipping you to meet the needs of the people we support and enabling you to provide person-centred approach. Training delivered by our amazing team; Debs, Steve, David.
• Training development: funded Level 3 and other accredited courses.
