Gwcc – is a multi faceted B2B company that supplies many different products to retailers up and down the country and into mainland europe. We have catergories from apparel, homeware, giftware and drinkware. We are license holders for Wb Harry Potter, Oxford University, Transport for London.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/ Merchandiser to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality, accuracy and timeliness of our products.This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to manage time effectively, and a flair for creativity.

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are presented attractively and strategically to maximise sales potential.

Duties

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing while ensuring optimal stock availability.
• Sourcing the correct quantities and assortments of products, and dealing with the logistics for this.
• Monitor stocks levels and generate po\’s to cover.
• Updating stakeholders on sales, stock, intakes, markdowns etc.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers while launching colour lap dips, strike off’s and trim sourcing etc.
• Analyse sales, stock and supplier performance data and report to the stakeholders.
• Manage, track and log all relevant sample orders.
• Support the Senior directors with product range reviews, cost-saving initiatives and sourcing strategies.
• Stay up to date with market trends, supplier developments and competitor activity, identify key opportunities and risks, and share findings and suggestions with stakeholders.
• Work with the rest of the department to create successful range plans.
• Assist with resolving invoice price queries and discrepancies.
• Collaborate across the Design department to maintain accurate product information and resolve product-related issues.
• Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in a merchandising role or similar position is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe software, particularly Adobe Illustrator, is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including supervising teams or projects.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
• A passion for retail and sales, with a keen eye for aesthetic presentation.
