Cardi\’s Furniture & Mattresses is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to work in their Warehouse Furniture Pulling & Customer Pick-Up Department. This position is key to ensure Cardi\’s WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is pulled correctly and customer pick-ups are processed with the highest level of customer service.

PAY RATE: $19.00 /HR

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from inventory for customer orders being picked up by the customer or being delivered to the customers’ homes in an orderly, accurate, timely, and safe manner.
• Load furniture and accessories in customer vehicles.
• Scan, pick, pull, re-wrap, and put away product utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.
• Operate manual and mechanical equipment, such as dollies and/or hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner to move or hoist product to the proper area/location.
• Comply with all applicable company health, safety, and quality standards and policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Commit to Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses safety policies and procedures.
• Model company image and culture through positive attitude, spirit of cooperation, appearance, and respect for company policies and procedures on every aspect of role functions.
• Perform other functions as needed and required.

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no management/supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills

Requirements

• Safely lift furniture merchandise while elevated on warehouse equipment at heights of 30-40 feet above the ground.
• Lift, move, push, and pull furniture up to and in excess of 110 pounds.
• Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the warehouse over an 8-12 hour work day.
• Ability to work well with others and function in a team environment.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders to picking labels.
• Ability to maintain emotional composure in a warehouse setting with customers, peers, and management.

Required Experience

Education/Certification/Licensure:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license required; stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in-house.

Prior related experience and/or training preferred but not required.
