Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the commercial management function across various contracts. This role involves ensuring that income is maximised, costs are minimised, and the required services are delivered efficiently. The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including client representatives and operational teams, and provide functional support across risk, finance, and HR. Key responsibilities include risk identification and mitigation, governance enforcement, confidential information management, and contractual claims management. This role is crucial in ensuring full commercial governance and providing support to account management and commercial teams.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
– Governance: Support in our internal governance projects seeking approval of opportunities, identifying and mitigation of risks.
– Pricing: Reviewing and supporting delivery teams pricing individual commissions and Compensation Events and risk items.
– Delivery: Supporting our Project Directors to ensure compliance to our contractual obligations including, payment application processes, annual reviews and disputes.
– Project Setup: Support our Project Managers to establish Work Breakdown Structures complaint with our contractual terms and to enable cost tracking and control.
– Contract Preparation: Working with our Project Managers and Legal teams to prepare subcontract agreements in accordance with our contractual obligations.
– Invoicing: Managing the Application for Payment process within our contracts to ensure positive cashflow and debt management.
– Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of contractual forecasts and budgets in accordance with our contractual obligations and internal processes. In addition advising on any corrective actions to variations in forecast.
– Risk Mitigation: Quickly escalating and supporting on commercial issues such as payment disputes and claims.
– Lessons Learnt: Collation of feedback to ensure continuous improvement of our commercial responses on future opportunities.
– Commercial Community: Become an integral and active part of our Commercial Community sharing knowledge and experience throughout the wider business.

– Project Delivery: Possess a broad range of project experience at a multi-disciplinary level inlcuding extensive use and knowledge of NEC3 and 4 forms of contract.
– Communication: Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and positive influence at all levels as well as internally and externally.
