The work that will be undertaken is UK wide, so must be willing to work away, travel, and stay in overnight accommodation. Sometimes weekends and evenings are required to meet deadlines, but where possible the install will be kept to normal working hours.

Our Client: A joinery manufacturing business based in Southwest Leicestershire is seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Fitter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in final finish furniture/unit fitting, joinery, and carpentry.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install units according to specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood materials to fit the design requirements
- Work with various hand and power tools to complete furniture fitting projects
- Ensure the quality and craftsmanship of the fitted units/furniture
- Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in unit fitting, joinery, and carpentry, including retail fittings, museums, heritage, entertainment, and leisure projects.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy materials
- Full UK Driving Licence
Day-to-day:
- Measure and cut wood materials to precise specifications
- Assemble and fit furniture components according to design plans
- Collaborate with designers and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- When there is no site work, undertake joinery and pre-assembly duties within the workshop
