Lancaster Resources are currently partnered with amarket-leading technology consultation and managed services provider to help them recruit a Data Centre Infrastructure Practice Lead on a Permanent Basis. This is a hybrid role that can be operated between one of our clients offices in London & on the South Coast, your home and customer site where required. Responsible for: Leadership across clients Systems Integrator Business for Data Centre Infrastructure (DCI) Consulting services. Mentoring and Line Manager of Principal Consultants as required. Supporting Consulting Director to meet operational requirements of Consulting function Scope of Role: Leveraging an expansive breadth of DCI technical services experience as well as in-depth knowledge of market demands, the Practice Lead (PL), drives delivery excellence and supports clients ability to achieve revenue and margin targets. Operates as the technical authority across key stakeholders both at the client and across our customer portfolio and in doing so guides and mentors the business both internally and at point of delivery to ensure successful outcomes. Supports the Consulting Services Director to ensure the Consulting operations run and deliver in accordance with defined best practice and doing so meets the quality requirements of Consulting Services. Provides subject matter expertise as part of the sales lifecycle for DCI aligned opportunities. Works closely with Cloud Infrastructure & Security Head of Service Development and CTO in defining and delivering the DCI Service offerings as well as the enablement of the consulting practice to ensure capabilities meet strategic needs balancing cost and time. Person Specification: Proven delivery and leadership skills. Understanding of Technical Design Authority. Ownership of engagement (leading the team). Strong understanding of markets, opportunities, and competitors, as well as business issues and challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations to my clients customers and employees. Excellent consulting and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus. Structured problem solving and analytical skills. Collaborative working style, encompassing all delivery disciplines. Able to lead both real and virtual teams to reach one common end goal. Able to provide mentoring across the delivery team. Ability to travel as and when required. General Skills and Expertise: Experienced, professional, services/technical consultant to support pre-sales engagement calls with customers and to deliver engagements sold. Detailed knowledge of the DCI industry and associated emerging trends. Knowledge of the different clients services and offerings. Demonstrated technical design and implementation of cloud & infrastructure solutions. Demonstrated problem-solving and Leadership skills. Project facilitation ensuring delivery of services set up in line with customers needs. Demonstrable ability to work as a consultant to CIO/IT Director level. Manage workshop environments, taking ownership and leading all aspects of workshop facilitation. Demonstrable ability to provide robust and clear feedback to both internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience of people management across a dispersed team. Technical Expertise, Qualifications and Accreditations: Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience. Demonstrable experience across DCI technologies (Operating systems, hypervisors, storage, networking) Understanding of Data Centre/Cloud/Application migration methodologies Vendor certifications (VMware, Dell, Cisco) 15 years experience within a consulting or delivery organisation 5 years people management experience
