Together with our network of partners, we provide free support, information, advice, financial assistance and services for horticulturalists and their loved ones experiencing illness, disability, bereavement, family breakdown and financial difficulties. We have a real focus on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of people working in horticulture and have an ambitious preventative strategy to create better futures for people working in horticulture.
We are now looking for a Caseworker to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role:
As a Caseworker, you will provide advice, guidance and practical support to individuals working in horticulture and their families. Specifically, you will deliver our person-centred help services through a variety of methods including home visits, video conferencing, phone and email, using a holistic and goal-focused approach to support people facing difficulties. Collaborating with service users, you will assess their needs and strengths, agree goals, develop a case management plan, and co-ordinate access to services and resources to meet practical and emotional needs, ensuring effective outcomes.
Additionally, you will:
- Support people across areas including health, benefits, housing and employment
- Advocate on behalf of service users where necessary
- Maintain accurate case records and reports
- Use IT systems to manage information and produce reports
- Keep up to date with legal, welfare and safeguarding practices
About You:
To be considered as a Caseworker, you will need:
- At least 2 years experience of undertaking holistic assessments across areas such as health, wellbeing, housing, money and relationships
- Experience working within safeguarding frameworks
- Experience of helpline or community-based advice services
- Experience of measuring intervention outcomes
- Knowledge of legal/welfare issues relating to children and vulnerable adults
- The ability to produce factsheets, briefing materials, reports and records
- The ability to work flexibly across regions, including occasional travel and overnight stays
- A Certificate in Advice and Guidance or willingness to obtain during probation
