The Job:
Effectively managing raw material and finished goods orders from receipt into UKM to customer receipt. The role covers customer order placement, booking transport, documentation, and handling queries related to shipment and routing capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end transportation activities for finished goods, raw materials, and consumables.
- Completing Dangerous Goods paperwork for all modes of transport and destinations.
- Meeting customer-specific requirements and ensuring transparent charging.
- Ensuring goods are picked, documented, booked with hauliers, and delivered according to sales order terms and shipping agreements.
- Ensuring compliance with ADR/IATA/customs documentation and presentation of goods.
- Collaborating with inbound logistics partners and purchasing teams for effective inbound clearance and delivery.
- Filing and retaining shipping records as required by HMRC.
- Supporting management of customer complaints as communicated by Sales Department.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements (e.g., SOPs).
- Maintaining qualification to IATA/IMDG standards, supported by ongoing CPD, typically every 2 years.
Skills and Qualities:
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including email correspondence.
- Courteous communication with internal and external customers via phone, email, and face-to-face.
- Experience working with IATA/IMDG regulations.
