The Role: As the Transportation Specialist, you will provide insights and direction for the distribution/last mile logistics processes and lead service providers on best practice methodologies to support business process changes. You will evaluate and develop KPIs, guide strategy for logistics and distribution, and maintain metrics dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics and Distribution Centres to manage projects and build a strategic roadmap for a logistics function including capabilities, systematic solutions and organizational design.

Your Impact:

  • Manage all transportation issues and deliver day-to-day operational execution for logistics, transportation and fulfilment.
  • Analyse logistics and transportation networks to reduce overall costs and support continuous improvement in productivity.
  • Achieve cost targets with providers and/or 3PLs while ensuring on-time service.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as management and functional leaders in Supply Chain and Logistics, to identify and prioritise transport initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on progress of transport initiatives providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Work with Operations and E-commerce teams to carry out best practice logistics benchmarking that can be applied.

We would Love to Hear from People with:

  • Experience in logistics projects, ideally for Distribution Centres (3PL management and/or owned and operated).
  • Knowledge in contract logistics (parcel and pallet) is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Fluency in English, a second European language is advantageous but not a requirement.
