As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Insurance specialists from across Insurance markets and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to develop your expertise. As part of the Insurance Operations & Domain Solutions team, you'll be working with a multitude of market leading teams from Deloitte to deliver value to our clients across the full delivery lifecycle starting from strategy and proposition definition to detailed operations and tech design, and being part of engineering and implementation teams to deliver for our clients. As a Business Analyst within Deloitte's Insurance practice, you are bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical teams as part of business lead tech transformation projects. At the heart of it, you will advise on the client's business case and strategy, understand the client's business needs, translate those into detailed requirements, and ensure the delivered solution aligns with the desired outcomes.
The specific roles and responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Contribute individually & lead junior BAs to contribute to successful engagement delivery and high-quality client deliverables.
- Contribute individually & lead junior BAs to complete the elicitation and documentation of business requirements through workshops and interviews.
- Contribute individually & lead junior BAs to complete the elicitation and documentation of detailed acceptance criteria and detailed functional design artefacts.
- Contribute individually & lead junior BAs to complete the assessment and documentation of business processes to assist in the design of the target state for a technical solution.
- Support clients with business activities including but not limited to requirements gathering, process definition, industry best practices and project planning.
- Work within diverse teams to help deliver measurable business outcomes to quality and timescales.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels & geographies across all business workstreams including Operations, Risk and IT as well as internal project stakeholders, including Developers / Testers / UI/UX teams - depending on the lifecycle of the project.
- Lead business development work such as pre-sales, bid preparation and client presentations.
- Participate in internal Deloitte practice development activities to assist the growth of the insurance practice and the Industry Solutions division including supporting the firm's commitment to creating a more diverse and inclusive culture.
- Be open to continuing education in keeping oneself updated on the latest skill sets & certifications.

Professional Experience Needs To Include:
- Experience gained within a leading insurer, broker, insurance technology or consulting firm with a track record of high performance and success in complex and high impact roles.
- Experience in either an insurance technology environment or designing & delivery experience of an insurance platform application.
- Experience or understanding of insurance process and technology change in areas such as: General Insurance processes, reporting and governance across quote, placement Underwriting, Policy administration, Billing, Claims, Accounts/ Finance & Risk Management.
- London Market specific processes, reporting and governance.
- Outward & Inward Reinsurance Underwriting, Accounting and Claims.
- Basic understanding of key insurance business processes across the value chain or at least one Line of business.
- An interest in emerging technology and trends in insurance and financial services.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
Preferably You Will Also Have:
- Experience leading (consulting) bids, e.g. responding to RFI/RFP, and developing industry relationships.
- Industry certifications such as Business Analysis certification (Foundation / Practitioner / Professional / Consultant) from British Computer Society, International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) (any certification), Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), among others or equivalent.
- Experience in implementing AI-driven solution within the general insurance lifecycle (e.g., claims automation, fraud detection, risk assessment, etc.) is highly desirable.
