Job Duties:
- Assessing and planning nursing care requirements for patients with mental health issues
- Monitoring and administering medication and treatments
- Building therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
- Evaluating and documenting patients' progress and response to treatment
- Implementing and reviewing care plans
- Providing support and education to patients and their families
- Participating in clinical audits and research activities
Required Qualifications:
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Mental Health Nurse
- Previous experience working in a mental health setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Education:
- Degree in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of mental health conditions and treatments
- Proficiency in clinical assessment and care planning
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in mental health nursing
