Security Officer / Gatehouse Operative

Location: Bridgwater – TA6 6DF

Contract: Full time, permanent contract: 4 on 4 off days and nights (6AM-6PM / 6PM – 6AM)

Salary: £11.91 per hour with 1.5 x overtime and 2 x bank holiday rates

Due to a well-deserved retirement, we’re now seeking a Gatehouse Operative to join our friendly team at Bridgwater. We’re looking for an experienced individual with a strong Customer Service focus and ability of championing safe working practices in line with our policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all visitors to site sign in as per requirements and the relevant person is contacted on their arrival.
• Ensure all tankers of raw milk and cream that arrive on site meet their booking time slot and have the correct paperwork.
• Weighbridge operation and completion of weighbridge transactions.
• Handling calls to the site, resolving or re-directing queries to the appropriate department.
• Completion of thorough handover for next shift.

• Experience and ability to use various IT systems.
