Maintenance Person - Aberdeen

Note: This role is primarily based at Cineworld Aberdeen Union Square, with occasional shifts at Cineworld Aberdeen Queen\’s Links.

Job Purpose

Assist cinema management in maintaining and improving the cinema\’s presentation by performing routine maintenance tasks and liaising with external parties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Relamp cinema areas as directed.
2. Report and coordinate jobs with the management team.
3. Perform routine repairs to stair nosing and Tivoli lighting.
4. Carry out local repairs and redecorations as directed.
5. Check for graffiti within cinema premises and remove low-level graffiti.
6. Regularly inspect fixed seating in auditoria and report or repair as needed.
7. Report maintenance issues and emergencies such as gas leaks, power failures, or water leaks.
8. Ensure work areas are safe and comply with Health & Safety policies.
9. Conduct site walk-rounds to identify faults and hazards, reporting findings.
10. Maintain toilets, including plumbing repairs and fixture replacements.
11. Keep the refuse area tidy and perform routine maintenance logs.
12. Participate in Health & Safety meetings and ensure compliance.
13. Maintain tidy and organized work areas, tools, and resources.
14. Perform ad hoc maintenance duties as directed.

Essential/Desirable Attributes & Experience

Candidates should have basic experience with hand and power tools. Qualification in Health and Safety Level 2 is preferred. Knowledge of risk management, working at heights, and facilities management or trades experience is desirable.
