Location: Office is situated in Wembley, next to the Civic Centre, with services provided at participants\’ homes, in the Library & Food Bank hubs, in the community, and in local amenities such as libraries, coffee shops, and public spaces around Brent.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift rotas vary between 08:00 – 16:00, 09:00 – 17:00, and 10:00 – 18:00.
About the Housing Support Worker position:
We are seeking a Housing Support Worker to make a real difference in people\’s lives! Join our vibrant team in Wembley to support individuals with complex needs on their journey toward recovery, reablement, and independence within a compassionate, trauma-informed environment.
This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centered support to vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness, with support needs including:
- Single homeless individuals aged 18 to 60
- Socially excluded individuals
- People with substance misuse issues
- Individuals with low-level mental health needs
You will create tailored support plans, provide practical interventions, empower participants to overcome challenges, develop life skills, and achieve personal goals. Collaboration with various organizations for signposting and support is also essential. Join us in empowering people to reach their full potential!
What we\’re looking for:
- Understanding of the support needs faced by individuals with complex needs
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds or sector knowledge
- Intermediate IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software
- Flexibility to adapt working patterns based on service and resident needs
- Understanding of social and societal marginalization of individuals with complex needs
