Are you passionate about storytelling and driven to shape the future of Scotland's screen sector? Screen Scotland is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable script executive to join our team.

As Screen Officer, you will play a key role in nurturing talent and supporting the full scripted pipeline—from early development to production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head of Scripted to oversee the quality, breadth and diversity of the funded slate overall whilst building key external partnerships.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to individuals and organisations across the scripted sector.
  • Identify and support new and emerging talent in both film and television.
  • Collaborate with broadcasters and strategic partners to strengthen Scotland's scripted output.
  • Assess funding applications and make informed recommendations.
  • Support programmes ranging from pre-first feature film initiatives to new talent programmes in TV.
  • Oversee funding for individual projects and slates at both development and production stages.

Salary Band: £34,330 to £43,168

Grade: C

Contract: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: The contractual base for this post is Edinburgh, however, opportunities for flexible and smarter working such as hybrid/home working are offered.
