Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a local authority in the South East who are looking to hire a senior litigation lawyer for an interim 6 month rolling contract to cover a permanent recruitment drive.
The majority of the caseload will encompass criminal prosecutions and as such court attendance would be required 2-3 per month,
There will be elements of broad civil litigation matters within the overall caseload as well, and so candidates with experience in this area will be considered highly,
Candidates with prior experience supervising/managing junior members of staff would be preferred so as to hit the ground running.
The ideal candidate will:
– Be experienced in prosecutions matters inclusive of: trading standards, license breaches, environmental protection,
– Have exposure to areas such as debt recovery, contractual disputes, property litigation,
– Have prior experience working within a local authority setting,
– Be experienced conducting their own advocacy autonomously in court
– Have prior experience supervising junior solicitors/paralegals.
