Personal Support Assistant – D868 – Scarborough

A reliable, trustworthy Personal Support Assistant is required for a gentleman who has Young On-Set Dementia/Alzheimer’s for 21 fairly flexible hours per week.

The gentleman requires supervision at meal times in case of choking and he is high risk of falling. Duties include: Meal preparation, conversation, household chores, dog walking, taking him shopping/out.

The gentleman loves plants, birds and his dogs (4 in the household), he only walks one of the dogs which he enjoys. Therefore someone who likes dogs is essential. There are times he does not want to chat, so the ideal PA must be sensitive, patient and understanding.

The 21 hours per weekare fairly flexible, however, the hours will definitely be on Wednesday’s to allow his wife to go to work. There will also be an occasional overnight (possibly 1 to 2 per month). The hours are due to increase in the future, so extra hours may be available or a second PA maybe recruited.

The rate of pay is £13.25 per daytime and £87.20 per sleepover

A Car driver would be ideal .
