Personal Support Assistant D868 – Scarborough

A reliable, trustworthy Personal Support Assistant is required for a gentleman who has Young On-Set Dementia for approx 15 fairly flexible hours per week.

The gentleman requires supervision at meal times in case of choking and he is high risk of falling. Duties include: Meal preparation, conversation, household chores, dog walking, taking him shopping/out.

The gentleman loves plants, birds and his dogs (5 in the household), he only walks one of the dogs which he enjoys. Therefore someone who likes dogs is essential. There are times he does not want to chat, so the ideal PA must be sensitive, patient and understanding.

The 15 hours per weekare fairly flexible, however, the hours will definitely be on Monday and Friday to allow his wife to go to work. There will also be an occasional overnight (possibly 1 to 2 per month). The hours may increase in the future.

The rate of pay is £13.25 per daytime and £87.20 per sleepover

A Car driver would be ideal.
