Test Automation Engineer

Reporting to the Technical QA Manager, we are looking to hire a smart and technically savvy Software Automation Engineer to join our team and help drive the growth of INSTANDA.

About the Team:

Our independent automation team sits within the wider QA function and is responsible for providing support to the QA and delivery teams through expertise in intelligent automation solutions to optimize high-quality deliverables. We work in an agile manner, valuing independence of thought, solid communication skills, and a continuous learning mindset.

What you\’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain the QE Automation framework.
• Create solutions to enhance automated test effectiveness.
• Contribute to feature development, ensuring appropriate tests are executed.
• Analyze regression test scenarios and automate where applicable.
• Monitor automated E2E and API test executions.
• Communicate risks related to testing approaches.
• Support the QE community in automation techniques.
• Define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform regression testing as needed.
• Contribute to the QE community of practice.

Essential:

• At least 1+ year experience in manual or automated testing.
• Understanding of testing concepts; familiarity with testing tools and bug tracking is a plus.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills in an agile environment.
• Flexible, resilient, with a high degree of curiosity.
• Ownership and accountability; experience with C# scripting is an asset.
• Practical knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with test frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or API frameworks.
• Experience designing and prioritizing test cases for various requirements.
• Experience with deployment, test management, and source control tools like Azure DevOps, Git, Jira.

Desirable:

• Experience with user-configurable software based on business rules.
• Experience with BDD or SpecFlow methodologies.
• Mentoring experience within engineering teams.
• Insurance industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer certification.
