Thermon is looking for a Project Control Specialist to work collaboratively with our team on specific short- and long-term projects. This role will oversee tasks delegated by the project managers and ensure that projects progress on time and on budget. The Project Control Specialist will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritise tasks while working independently with little supervision from the project manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Project Manager to develop project plans upon transfer of the contract from sales.
- Identify all project deliverables (Scope of supply, engineering deliverables, documentation requirements, quality certification requirements, billing requirements, etc.).
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure that deadlines are met, and tasks are completed on time.
- Maintain, monitor, and organise project records and documentation on incoming project opportunities.
- Coordinate and schedule project meetings, take meeting minutes, and distribute meeting minutes on behalf of the Project Manager.
- Generate progress reports as required by the contract.
- Advise project Managers of potential cost over-runs and schedule delays.
- Assist the Manager in setting weekly priorities on deliverables from all departments.
Requirements:
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal direction.
- Confident, self-assured, and able to master time management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with taking charge and dealing with ambiguity to achieve successful outcomes.
- Attention to communication; the ability to ensure that information is passed on to others who should be kept informed.
- Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (AX or D365) is a must.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Engineering).
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in Project Controlling.
