Responsibilities include:

1. Practicing according to entity mandatory requirements and department expectations.
2. Providing patient care utilizing the nursing process and as part of the interdisciplinary team.
3. Administering medications safely and providing effective patient/family teaching.
4. Documenting according to guidelines and maintaining appropriate licenses and certifications.
5. Addressing age-specific needs and performing assessments such as cardiovascular and neurological.
6. Providing care for patients receiving epidural anesthesia, managing pain, and using restraints as per policy.
7. Assisting with anesthesia procedures, managing IV therapy, and demonstrating knowledge of anesthesia agents.
8. Performing pre-op assessments and caring for patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation.

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN licensure in Massachusetts.
• Maintains BLS certification.

Position details:

• Schedule: 32/24 hour flex, rotating days/evenings, on-call coverage, weekends, and holidays.
• Location: Falmouth Hospital, Massachusetts.
• Department: Operating Room.
