MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR VACANCIES IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!

Do you have experience working with the Food Manufacturing, Food Packaging, FMCG, or the Manufacturing Industry, and are you looking for a new permanent job?

We are proud to be working with a leading food manufacturing business in Telford to help them recruit experienced Machine Setter Operators on a permanent basis. This business is increasing their production capacity by adding 2 new production lines, and they are looking to hire permanent staff between now and the beginning of September.

We are looking for someone who lives within a 20-25 mile radius of Telford, Shropshire.

This role involves working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights), with a starting salary of just over £33,733 per annum, rising to just under £37,500, and eventually over £41,000 once fully trained and signed off.

The interview process includes a numeracy and literacy assessment on-site in Telford.

Ideal candidates have experience as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter, or Skilled Machinist within a production or manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee the performance of a production line, working with machine operators to ensure efficiency.
2. Take ownership of the line’s performance, resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.
3. Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and collaborating with development teams.
4. Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
5. Perform start-ups, changeovers, and daily operations according to SOPs.
6. Train and guide team members, sharing technical expertise to maintain high standards.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Strong technical mindset and passion for machinery.
2. Experience in a similar role, ideally within food or processing industries.
3. Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
4. Interest in learning new techniques and technologies.
5. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
