The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining aspects of Ageas’ data architecture as directed by the Lead Data Architect, particularly in the context of data warehousing and data analytics systems. This role will help ensure that Ageas’ data systems are robust, scalable and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a background in data architecture, data engineering and data modelling, with experience of enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data project teams to implement data architecture policies and procedures in the context of Ageas’ data management processes.
- Create and maintain “as is” data architecture blueprints that reflect Ageas’ existing data systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT, business units and external partners to identify and document business data needs.
- Design and implement “to be” data architecture blueprints that will meet Ageas’ business data needs and foster data quality and integrity across Ageas data systems and platforms.
- Develop and maintain data models and data flow diagrams and design data integration processes.
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in data architecture, data engineering and data modelling.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in designing scalable and efficient data architectures to meet business requirements.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining data models, with experience using data modelling tools such as Erwin.
- Experience with data integration techniques and tools.
