My client, a leading Investment Bank, are seeking a 1LOD Risk and Controls specialist to help support risk/control owners and other relevant senior management within the Derivatives team. This would enable robust and comprehensive governance of risk and controls within the business area through key risk indicators, key control indicators, risk ratings, control ratings, issues and events.

Key skills / Experience:

  • Good experience of working within a 1st line Risk & Controls function
  • Exposure to working with and supporting a front office environment (Sales & Trading)
  • Knowledge of Derivatives would be advantageous – but not essential
  • Good understanding and awareness of market-standard approaches for risk assessment, risk mitigation and control design and execution.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulation and regulatory expectation
  • Excellent communicator, with the gravitas to manage and cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders
