The Role
As a Qualified Maths and English Tutor, you will deliver engaging and individualised lessons to help students improve their skills and confidence. Whether assisting with core subject comprehension or providing exam preparation, your expertise will play a vital role in your students’ academic journeys. This role is particularly well-suited to tutors with experience supporting students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), although this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in Maths and English tailored to individual learning styles and goals.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and resources to meet specific needs.
- Support students in overcoming learning barriers and building their confidence.
- Track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to motivate students.
Requirements
- PGCE in Maths or English or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) (essential).
- A minimum of 1 year’s teaching or tutoring experience in Maths or English.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students and parents.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching style.
