Justice Resource Institute (JRI) supports the Department of Youth Services (DYS) by placing qualified Clinical Directors and Clinicians in their Northeast, Central and Southeast programs. This Clinical position is based in a DYS’ Revocation Program in Middleton, MA. This program provides a stable and supportive environment for males (ages 12-21) in the juvenile justice system.

Salary: $68,224 - $71,224 per year

What You'll Do:

This position is for a Clinician within a secure program setting. The primary role of the Clinician is to work with the management team to provide a stable and supportive environment for the youths on the unit. The Clinician will identify a unit behavioral treatment plan for each youth assigned and will be expected to maintain professionalism and work alongside other professionals, within DYS, and as needed with other agencies. Clinical supervision is provided and licensure supported. JRI-provided training opportunities available as well.

Work Schedule Options:

  • 5-Day Work Week: Monday - Friday 10 AM-6 PM, 11 AM-7 PM, or 12-8 PM (One “late day” per week is required.)
  • 4-Day Work Week: Tuesday-Friday 9 AM-7 PM or 10 AM-8 PM

Both schedule options include a rotating weekend on-call with a separate compensation structure.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in a clinical discipline such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, and/or Psychology; PhD in APA approved psychology programs also meet qualifications.
  • Masters level candidates must currently have, or be eligible for a LMHC or LCSW/LICSW in Massachusetts. Licensed candidates are preferred. Upon attainment of independent licensure, Clinicians receive a $3,000 raise.
  • Candidates must have experience working with adolescents and their families, knowledge in crisis stabilization and management, and base knowledge of CBT and DBT.
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends as required.
  • Acceptable driving record and state/federal background checks.
