An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join one of the country's leading Fire & Security specialists working around the Chelmsford Region. The role involves working as part of a team at various commercial sites across the region, servicing and maintaining a range of fire and security systems.

Duties:

  • Service and repair of multiple system types including Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and DDA systems, adhering to current standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Work within project time constraints, promptly communicating any potential risks to project delivery.
  • Experience with network/IP-based products is desirable.
  • Complete timesheets and all relevant paperwork promptly.
  • Participate in relevant training sessions.
  • Comply with all H&S requirements.

Experience:

  • Proven background in Intruder, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry, and DDA systems.
  • Experience with network/IP-based products is advantageous.
  • FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential; understanding of BS standards is essential.
  • Knowledge of system integration is a plus.
  • Good communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across the country.
  • Prepared to work away overnight when necessary, with minimal frequency.

Salary / Package:

  • Basic Salary: up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Paid Travel Time (30 mins each way)
