We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting to lead the accounting team and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our financial reporting. The ideal Head of Accounting will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with a strong background in financial management, statutory reporting, and team leadership.
Head Of Accounting Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/UK GAAP).
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements.
- Oversee external audits and act as the main point of contact for auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and professional development.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Liaise with other departments and senior stakeholders to support commercial and operational goals.
Head Of Accounting Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA).
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
- Ability to work 4x days a week in the office in Soho.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
