Clark Wood, a leading specialist in accountancy practice recruitment, is partnering with a prestigious Top 20 firm of Chartered Accountants to recruit an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior for their Manchester office.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will take a leadership role in managing and executing audit assignments from planning through to completion. You’ll supervise audit teams onsite at clients\’ premises, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services. In addition to audit duties, you’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing Year-End accounts and managing Corporate Tax computations.

Audit work will make up approximately 70% of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage audit assignments for a range of clients, including small owner-managed businesses and large corporate groups.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring adherence to audit standards and compliance requirements.
• Prepare statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts when necessary.
• Mentor and supervise junior team members, promoting professional development and a collaborative working environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• ACA / ACCA Qualified, or at the final stages of qualification.
• Significant experience in an accountancy practice, with a focus on leading audit assignments across various industries.
• Strong technical knowledge in audit and accounting, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
