The Business of Creativity, part of Whalar Group, is an education and consultancy hub dedicated to helping individuals and organizations unlock their creative potential. We exist to champion imagination as the most valuable skill of the future. Through expert-led courses, thought leadership, live events, community engagement, and bespoke consultancy, we help people and brands harness creativity as a powerful force for transformation. Our offering spans learning, leadership, connection, and counsel, designed to liberate creativity in a world increasingly shaped by automation.
About the role: As Sr. Product Manager you will take ownership of our growing course product division. You’ll oversee the full product lifecycle, from auditing and updating existing courses to managing the end-to-end development of new products, including the ideation and identification of new growth areas. You will collaborate closely with our course curators, presenters, copywriters, and production partners to ensure that every product we bring to market is exceptional. This is a strategic and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to shape a core part of the business and, in time, build and lead a dedicated team. This is a role for a highly organized, creatively-minded product leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence.
Here’s what you’ll do day to day:
- Continuous Product Audit & Modernisation: Regularly audit existing course products to ensure they are fit for purpose and up to date. Lead product refresh initiatives, including suggesting updates, recommending new guest speakers, coordinating script updates, and managing content re-shoots when needed. Ensure additional course material (e.g., workbooks, resources, supplementary content) remains relevant, high quality, and valuable to the learner experience.
- New Product Development & Launch: Own the end-to-end process for new course launches: scripting, production planning, talent coordination, shoot management, post-production oversight, and final product delivery. Work closely with presenters, subject matter experts, and our creative team to deliver best-in-class educational products. Collaborate with a dedicated production team (including a Producer and Director) who will manage the on-site filming logistics and technical execution. Your role is to ensure the shoot matches the overall product vision, upholds our brand tone of voice, and delivers an exceptional learning experience. Manage timelines, budgets, and project delivery with precision, ensuring each product is launched to a high standard, on time and within budget.
- Product Innovation & Growth Strategy: Proactively identify new product opportunities by scouting emerging topics, industry needs, and potential new talent. Map and propose our product expansion roadmap, working closely with leadership on strategic growth priorities. Develop business cases for new products, including audience analysis, content strategy, and commercial potential.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience in product management, creative production, educational or entertainment content development, or related roles.
- Proven track record of managing complex creative projects from concept through to delivery.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple products and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong creative sensibility; able to assess, enhance, and drive product quality.
- Experience working with on-camera talent, writers, and production teams.
- Comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback; able to balance senior stakeholder opinions while maintaining product integrity.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, solutions-driven, and excited about growing a division.
- Strong commercial acumen; able to balance creative quality with business objectives.
Why we think you’ll love working with us:
- Work directly with the founders of a fast-moving, flexible, and focused team that has already taken a startup from an idea to a profitable business within 3 years.
- Just like us, you’ll be learning every day. You’ll have an opportunity to learn and grow very quickly, with the help of a team that has built and exited multiple previous businesses.
- You will be working closely with a legend in the advertising industry (Sir John Hegarty).
- Hybrid working environment, 3 days in office in Soho.
- Competitive salary with additional benefits.
- Ongoing professional development opportunities and access to our own courses.
- A supportive, ambitious, and entrepreneurial team culture.
We are an office-based company located in Soho, London, with a flexible approach to in-office days. Employees are asked to work from the office three days a week Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This allows us to collaborate as a team, connect, and celebrate our vibrant and unique culture!
