Senior Technical Underwriter York

Salary: Up to £57,500 + 17.5% annual bonus + benefits package

• Hybrid role: 3 days remote, 2 days at one of our offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Bristol, York, Glasgow, or Belfast

About the role

Become a key member of NFU Mutual\’s Regional Senior Technician Underwriting team, managing complex, high-value cases and ensuring technical activity delivery. You will advise, train, and guide others to maintain technical knowledge and meet objectives, KPIs, and deliver excellent customer service.

You will manage the administration and resolution of intricate cases, ensuring regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for members. Additionally, you will train and coach team members, develop technical capabilities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Please note the internal job title is Regional Senior Technician – Underwriting.

About you

You should have a proven track record in managing complex Commercial Underwriting cases and providing technical expertise within a regulatory environment. Experience in developing and coaching others or supporting peers to gain authority is essential.

You will also need:

• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• High attention to detail with pragmatic and logical thinking
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• Experience building and managing stakeholder relationships
• Report writing experience (desirable)
