An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Engineer to join our Energy Systems Team. In this role you will be responsible for working across the electricity system to support major customers connecting to our electricity distribution network to secure access rights on the transmission system. Providing technical authority for transmission system applications and offers, you will use your knowledge of electricity networks planning to support customers to meet their energy goals and ensure the system is efficiently developed. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: •Prepare and submit applications for transmission access, collating inputs from colleagues and applying scrutiny to deliver high quality outputs to the Electricity System Operator (ESO). •Interface with the major connections design processes to act as the bridge between customers, internal distribution connections functions and the ESO. •Review transmission application offers to ensure distribution customer needs are being addressed. •Develop and routinely check quality standards for transmission access. •Track the status of applications at each GSP and produce relevant management information.
