Job role: Electrical Assembly Engineer
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum
Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire
Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week – flexible hours

The Role:
- Use a variety of hand tools to assemble, wire, and install an array of control panels and machinery.
- Read and interpret both mechanical and electrical diagrams and drawings to ensure control panels are wired and assembled correctly and to the highest quality possible.
- Wire and assemble an array of gearboxes, PLC systems, heating circuits, and servo drives as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Once the panel has been wired and assembled correctly, fit these components to the onsite machinery.
- Quality check your work to ensure quality expectations are met, reworking where required.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times.
The Requirements:
- Previous experience within panel wiring and/or electrical assembly (essential).
- The ability to read and fully understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and diagrams (essential).
- An understanding and working knowledge of PLC systems (advantageous).
- 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations (advantageous).
- Relevant qualifications – NVQ’s, City & Guilds etc (advantageous).
- Strict attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
