Freelance Structural Engineer

Role

Having recently secured some sizeable commercial projects, we are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support in the delivery on a freelance basis.

The ideal candidate will be a competent number cruncher, capable of working efficiently and autonomously, confidently producing deliverables requiring little additional input.

Projects span across a range of sectors from residential and education to healthcare and industrial, and varied experience would be desirable.

Scope

• Likely to be a minimum of 3 months work, potentially longer
• Ideally seeking a 3 days per week commitment
• Willing to work from the office occasionally desirable but not essential
• Should live within a commutable distance to Bristol

Requirements

• Degree in structural or civil engineering
• 4-6 years of relevant work experience
• Competent with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with large steel and concrete structures
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Liaising with the wider team to produce required deliverables
• Produce designs, drawings, and reports using relevant software
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency

You will be working with a small, highly skilled team of Structural Engineers working on a diverse range of projects across the region. The office is conveniently located close to public transport links with plenty of local amenities at the doorstep.
