Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance, demonstrating the ability to diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and safety of our equipment and vehicles.

Duties:

1. Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including servicing/oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
2. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and manual techniques.
3. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
4. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
5. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to mechanical repairs.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
3. Ability to read technical manuals.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
5. Good communication skills to interact with team members.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Be able to speak to customers with confidence.
8. A valid driver\’s licence is essential; additional qualifications such as an NVQ or equivalent in vehicle maintenance are advantageous.
9. Be interested in becoming a MOT Tester in the near future.
